Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

Besides a true-blooded gamer, i’m also a 100% certified harry potter fanatic. My day wouldn’t be complete without checking any news bits or leaked movie trailers from famous “The Leaky Cauldron” blog. It’s a GOOD news that they have released the latest international teaser trailer of Harry Potter and thr Half Blood Prince just a fews weeks ago. However it’s BAD to know that its premiere date, originally set on November 21, has been moved to July 29, 2009, that is 9 months from now. If you haven’t yet read the book, an UGLY truth has been unleashed in midst of the Muggles(our normal world), Wizarding universe , and Hogwarts where any of those place is not safe anymore to live with due to a massive plan conceived by Evil Voldemort. Star Wars Politics Unleashed: Barrack Obama Turns to the Dark Side

Since the infamous Ronald Reagan “Star wars” speech in 1983, people has been fascinated to connect politics to the Star Wars saga. Darth Vader has already been embodied multiple times by the dark forces sitting in our government. Innocent people keeps supporting the Palpatine clones in the senate with a underhand propaganda to imperialize the Republic and unleash a “dark lord of the sith” to rule the new Galactic empire. With 17 days to go until election day in United States of America, let’s have parody of the current US presidentiables and running mates based on the current bestseller computer game “Star Wars: The Force Unleashed”. In the game, Galen Marek, codenamed “StarKiller”, is the main protagonist and he shares a lot of similarities to Barrack Obama, not just with the look but a few interesting coincidence. Lego Batman lacks bam-kapow punch? (PSP Review)

Does Lego Batman lacks bam-kapow punch? That’s what I’ve been pondering after playing the first few stages of Lego Batman for PSP. I used to be entusiastic about playing any Lego franchise games from Lucas Arts Entertainment.  I had so much child-playing fun whipping blocks and trotting around bricked caves for artifacts in Lego Indiana Jones: The New Adventure. Also had legorific light saber duel with Sith lords such as Darth Vader and Palpatine in Lego Star Wars: The complete Saga. The Traveller’s Tales, game developer of Lego Batman, has kept their promise when they said they will utilize the same winning formula that made the prior games blockbuster. Many of those hallmarks are still present in this game such as assembling lego pieces, destructable environments, and the simple button smashing for mug combats. But what is the exact Batman story arc this game is trying to emulate?

James Bond is back with a midas touch, every woman he touches turns to black gold!

In the upcoming “Quantum of Solace” movie,  Daniel Craig’s second performance as James…James bond, he picks up where he left off from the end of the last sequel “Casino Royale. He returns as a “a very human and flawed assassin”, not just with simple vengeance on his mind but with a complex reason burried deep within his soul after the trafic death of Vesper Lynd.  Along his way he’ll meet up new ladies, apparently not a serious relationship but just fling with them. As the title says, everyone he touches turns to black, well not literally of course!  English star Gemma Arterton will play a character called Agent Fields where somewhere in movie she’ll be spilled with black gold(known as petrolium oil) all over her body and unfortunately she will not survive (pardon me for the spoilerific!).

Review: Unboxing the Hanns-G HDMI LCD Monitor

This is an article contribution made by a cousin of mine who’s a certified true-blooded gamer. The last time he visited my condo in Ortigas, I challenged him to play “Street Fighter” against me via psp-to-psp adhoc. What the…how could he beat me many times! I had fully trained my fore finger with blocking technique and my thumbs for unleashing my ultra hadouken moves. Unfortunately my character went to waste just as my poor fingers went sore after all retries to redeem my thrown. I will be back for revenge the next time i have opportunity to visit his house (Beware pinsan!). Sarah Palin makes Politics a little more sexier

My knowledge in US politics is blur and i don’t want to discuss anything related to it  (my reader’s unsubscribe button is one click away to boredom). Well, it’s always a different story if a woman is the key player in politics. Sexism and Controversy always come together since Lady Godiva. However, when you combine brain, beauty, and political will, it breaks those rules especially when you are talking about Sarah Palin, the Republican vice-presidential running mate of John McCain in 2008 Presidential Election.
