Review: Unboxing the Hanns-G HDMI LCD Monitor
October 8th, 2008 · by joystick-owner | Filed Under: Gadgets, hanns-g, lcd monitor, playstation 3, super street fighter, think geek, wow gmThis is an article contribution made by a cousin of mine who’s a certified true-blooded gamer. The last time he visited my condo in Ortigas, I challenged him to play “Street Fighter” against me via psp-to-psp adhoc. What the…how could he beat me many times! I had fully trained my fore finger with blocking technique and my thumbs for unleashing my ultra hadouken moves. Unfortunately my character went to waste just as my poor fingers went sore after all retries to redeem my thrown. I will be back for revenge the next time i have opportunity to visit his house (Beware pinsan!). Anyway, I would like to thank him for sharing his review about Hanns-G monitor he bought a few months ago. Also this brief article is a form of review response to
GM Tristan.com blog post titled “Unboxing the Hanns-G 22″ HDMI LCD“. My cousin has no time to take the pictures so I borrowed Tristan’s own shots of his baby. Without further ado, read on after the jump.
My first crack of review-Hanns-G H216 LCD Monitor
The Hanns-G H216 is a ‘21.6 inch computer LCD not just made for computers but also perfect for budget conscious video gamer’s PS3 and Xbox 360. I have been using this LCD monitor for my PS3 for the past 5 months and so far it it did not dissapoint me. This nice piece of LCD monitor is very practical because of its price, usability, and performance.
I was then using my old regular television which can only provide me standard graphic output while playing with my ps3. Poor me and my lovely white PS3 because I was pairing this expensive amazing machine to an old standard tv when it is meant to be paired with an LCD monitor with HDMI output to maximize the brilliance of the machine.
When I learned about this LCD monitor is already available, I rushed to the nearest PC store and looked for one hoping i could test it with my PS3. When I was unboxing my PS3 to test it with the Hanns-G, people started to be an audience as I was preparing to hook my PS3 to the Hanns G monitor. The LCD monitor outputted nicely but not perfect because of 1 dead pixel.
For its price of P12,000 it’s already a good buy. It already comes with an hdmi cable, user’s manual and a plug for the computer. This nice piece of LCD is woth it for the budget conscious video gamer who wants to use it for playing their next generation consoles such as the playstation 3 or the Xbox. It can also be used for dvd players with hdmi inputs if you want to upscale your dvd viewing pleasure.
